On March 27, Teach For Austria hosted an expert meeting titled “Successfully Starting and Staying in the Teaching Profession.” Held at the City Campus in Vienna, the event brought together education professionals to discuss how to best support new teachers during their early career years.
Keynotes included:
- HS-Prof. Mag. Dr. Roland Bernhard discussing the “London Turnaround” and its impact on guiding new teachers.
- HS-Prof. Mag. Dr. Johannes Dammerer, BEd. sharing insights from a decade of mentoring.
- Mag. Andrea Reischl presenting best practices from Teach For Austria and the Erasmus+ NEST project.
Participants also took part in interactive sessions like the World Café and a Fishbowl Discussion to exchange ideas and discuss the future of teacher mentoring.
The event concluded with networking over a buffet, allowing participants to continue exchanging ideas and strategies for supporting new educators.
